CONSULTANCY AND ADVISORY SERVICES

IPAI regularly undertakes consultancy assignments in matters related to public finance, including accounting, procurement, financial monitoring, evaluation, etc. and recommend improvements in standards and procedures as would contribute to greater efficiency, transparency and accountability and reduce mis-management and fraud. The Institute has, over the years successfully executed a large number of advisory and consulting jobs for the country wide programmes of the Central and State Governments, local and international bodies and others. The client population of IPAI includes the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG); Ministries of Human Resource Development, Health and Family Welfare; Rural Development, Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation; Petroleum and Natural Gas; Central Government Organizations such as CAPART, CSIR , ICAR, Planning Commission; the international bodies like the DFID, World Bank, the UNICEF; World Commission on large Dams, Public Sector and Autonomous Bodies including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Delhi Development Authority (DDA); New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), Prasar Bharti; and various State Governments including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan.

Significant projects undertaken by the Institute include financial monitoring and review of socio economic programmes e.g. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, National Rural Health Mission, National AIDS Control Organization, Reproductive Child Health Programme, Jan Shikshan Sansthans, etc. funded by Central Ministries/ States, audit and evaluation of infrastructure schemes, devising of different subject manuals for state governments and a few central organizations, investigations into suspected frauds in establishments, formulation of accounting procedures for scheme like Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, under the Ministry of Rural Development & National Literacy Mission under the Ministry of HRD and internal audit of organizations.
